This Division consists of three branches:

• Branch of Networks

Tasks

• Solving technical problems related to internal computer network and Internet services and provisioning alternate services in timely manner.
• Preparing technical specifications for the university needs from network devices and related accessories.
• Setting up the latest technical designs for the infrastructure of the computer network in the campus and new buildings.
• Keeping and updating backup copies of network devices, firewalls, routers switches, etc.
• Managing all the wired and wireless networks in the campus and updating their policies.
• Providing network connectivity for employees and students in all premises in the campus.
• Follow-up and management of tasks in the branch to ensure the progress of work properly, qualifying members of the division to involve them in the process of development, maintenance, systems management, and documentation according to the adopted policies.

• Branch of Computers Systems

Tasks

• Developing and managing servers, backup systems, routine data backups, and backup policies, and keeping their sustainability, security, and integrity.
• Updating operating systems, computer software systems, and servers’ hardware.
• Developing and managing Internet access filtering and security systems and keeping their sustainability to functioning properly.
• Managing backups of the operating systems of virtual and physical servers.
• Preparing technical specifications for the university needs from computer systems and solutions.
• Follow-up and management of tasks in the branch to ensure the progress of work properly, qualifying members of the branch to involve them in the process of development, maintenance, systems management, and documentation according to the adopted policies.

• Branch of Maintenance

Tasks

• Follow-up maintenance of personal computers and peripherals affiliate to ensure their durability and the integrity and functioning properly.
• Installing and updating operating systems, desktop applications, and anti-virus software systems.
• Preparing technical specifications for the university needs from computers ant peripherals.

Follow-up and management of tasks in the branch to ensure the progress of work properly, qualifying members of the branch to involve them in the process of development, maintenance, systems management, and documentation according to the adopted policies.
